When I searched the internet for a free antivirus program to protect my computer, ESET Smart Security 4 became my first choice as it was recommended by lots of people. Also, I learned that this program was a personal firewall and a spam filter which can disable both known and unknown virus, trojans, spyware, rootkits and other Internet threats, so as to help effectively protect the computer. I appreciated this, but after using it for sometime, it suddenly stopped working during an update of the virus database. Someone told me to first uninstall it from the computer and then reinstall it to solve the problem.
I thought it will be easily uninstalled from the Add/Remove Programs, so I tried it the first time. To my surprise, it had gone there but still popped up when booting up the computer the next day. Also I could see an uninstall link, but nothing responded when I clicked it. What is more, it stopped me from reinstalling the new version on my computer saying that there was a copy existing in the computer, I had to first uninstall it in order to reinstall the new version. I carefully searched the computer and found that the folder still located on my computer, but I don't know what I could do to thoroughly uninstall it from my computer.
One day, when surfing the internet, I found that lots of people recommending Perfect Uninstaller to uninstall corrupted programs like mine for the Force Uninstall function provided a choice to directly uninstall programs from their folders. Though I was so not quite convinced, with the hope to uninstall the program from my computer, I went to register this uninstaller for it guaranteed to refund the purchase unconditionally within 60 days. Luckily, with the detailed instructions on its official website, I was able to uninstall the corrupted ESET Smart Security 4 easily from the computer. In other word, the friendly user interface helped me completely get rid the program off the computer.
And now, I just want to deeply recommend the Force Uninstall function, which is unique of all the uninstallers I have used. After using this uninstaller for sometime, I found that this function is very suitable in uninstall programs that do not list in the Add/Remove Programs list or programs still locate on the computer after an incomplete uninstallation processes for it allows us to directly uninstall programs from their folders. Specifically, as long as we can find the program to be uninstalled located on the computer, a simple click on its folder and then select "Force Uninstall" will help you begin the removal. And during the uninstallation, the uninstaller will scan both the drives and registry for leftovers to ensure a complete removal of the program we want to uninstall. With the help of this function, I can not only uninstall ESET Smart Security 4, but also other unneeded programs, such as Adobe, QuickTime from my computer.
So, if you are worrying about the large amount of unwanted programs on your computer, have a try with this uninstaller. After using it, I believe you will find it useful in uninstalling any program.
