First step is to go to the Control Panel. If you are not yet familiar how to go to this user interface that is part of the Windows operating system, you can click the Start found on the task bar of your desktop. Once you are already on the Control Panel, look for the option called Add/Remove Programs. There you can find all the software that is installed in your computer. This is also where you could remove other programs as well other than the Live Messenger.

At the left side of the interface, you can find four options. Click the icon that says Add/Remove Windows components. With just one last step, you are now ready to uninstall Windows Live Messenger from your computer.

As soon as you click the said icon, it will prompt another box where you can have another set of options. You can scroll down and look for the Windows Messenger so you could uninstall Windows Live Mail. Un-check the box of the said program to uninstall it completely.
